A Great Concept for Bloggers to Make Writing More Effective!

Reframing the idea” is one of the key concepts that I get from the famous book ‘Everybody Writes” by Ann Handley.

In this particular book, the writer mentioned one of his friends’ writing advice to him. That advice was to reframe the ideas to readers, meaning whenever statements are required, the writers should give them precisely so that the readers don’t have any confusion over what the writers want to establish.

And Ann Hardley stated since then (after hearing his friend’s advice), he used to ask him a simple question every time he wrote a sentence, maybe for his blog post or email newsletter. He used to ask, “So What?” each time he ended a sentence. He continued doing that and encouraged other writers to do so.

Now, what’s in it? Well, when you ask ‘so what’ and then answer ‘because,’ in such a way, you can better describe what you want to describe.

For example, let’s say you write, ‘Facebook ads can be a great way for marketers to sell their products or services’. Now ask ‘So what’ and answer the question ‘Because.’ So, the next line would be, with the help of Facebook ads, you can reach your target audience who might be interested in your business. Sounds good?

And the writer, Ann Handley, wants other aspiring writers to continue this reframing until they (the audience) are questioning things best left to the philosophers. Sounds good?

Most of you might be familiar with this concept or technique, whatever you said before. And to be honest, I knew it as well. But I found the concept in the book again and think it is worthy of being shared with you guys so your writing becomes clear and concise!
